Owner Kevin Barker, of Fix Me Up Handyman Services, knows what it means to work.

As a child and growing up through my teenage years, I spent a lot of time learning from my Father, and other people in my life influenced me to learn some of the skills that I know now. I was always involved. My dad had a very strong work ethic and knew what it took to hold a family together with his two hands.

That same ethic was imprinted into my mind, and soul. I watched his attention to detail and also learned that I disagreed with him while he cut corners and made temporary fixes. I like to do things right and hate double work. My perfectionist state of mind makes me my biggest critic and sometimes my worst enemy. But it’s all in the effort to do things the right way. Ways that people can rely on, in order to get the results they want.

I love working with my hands. Hardware stores always fascinated me. I can’t sit in a restaurant without looking at the way that the interior was designed and built. Constructing and building things, repairing broken items and troubleshooting as a Handyman makes my life fun and enjoyable knowing I can help those that need to get back to a normal living situation when they need it most.
